The Fonses Saved Passover

This is Jen counting the apples we used to make Haroset at the temple seder. We offered to make this traditional seder food, but nobody else volunteered--so we had to make it for 140! We were up until 11:00 on Thursday night peeling and mixing. It was fun and we got good reviews.

Kia Ora (Hello) from a blogger down under in New Zealand. I was surfing the blog world when your blog popped up, so I thought I would say hello.

Next year - charge them or get them to peel their own apples.
Do you put a little bit of lemon juice in the bowl of water, to stop the apples going brown ???

Kelvin--I think the kosher wine prevents the apples from getting brown--or at least the purple color hides the brown anyway.
